Can I visit you and meet your dogs before I place a deposit?

Are bordoodles hypo-allergenic and non-shedding?

We raise our puppies in our homes, we do not operate a kennel or facility. All of our Bordoodle puppies are raised and cared for by us. Therefore we are not open to the public and will only accept scheduled visits by appointment from those on our Bordoodles WA waiting list. You will be able to meet our mama when we schedule your visit at 6 weeks or when you pickup your puppy at 8 weeks. We do not allow tours of our home or whelping areas for the safety of our Bordoodle dogs and puppies.

No breeder can guarantee a hypo-allergenic dog, and some people may be allergic to saliva instead of fur. Overall F1b Bordoodles are allergy friendly for people who have mild pet allergies but its important you spend time with different kinds of oodle mixes to determine if your allergies are triggered. Our F1b Bordoodles have a higher chance of being low to non-shedding as they should inherit more of the poodle gene coats - this generation is recommended for allergy sufferers. You wont find much hair in your house or on your clothes in most cases.

We work with F1b Bordoodles. In most cases F1 pairings (Border Collie + Poodle) will produce straight and wavy coats, where as F1b (Bordoodle + Poodle) will typically produce wavy and curly coats and are typically low to non shedding and are best for allergy sufferers compared to F1 pairings.

An adult bordoodle will require grooming every 6-8 weeks. This will typically cost $110 with a professional groomer.

You should be brushing your Boordoodle daily and bathing and blowdrying every few weeks (or when needed). All Bordoodles have high maintenance coats that need regular attention to make sure they always look their best. If you are not willing to care for their coat and invest the time and money needed then you may want to reconsider this breed option.

Our Bordoodles are perfect for those wanting a medium companion - not too big or not too small. Perfect for taking hiking, camping and on adventures as well as small enough to take to work, markets and everywhere else. * The sizes we offer are primarily in the range of 15 - 20 kgs, but we do not guarantee adult weight and heights at maturity.

Our Bordoodles will come in a variety of unique colours. Our breeding girls are Merle’s so we will expect to see some stunning Blue and Chocolate Merles as well as the possibility of Phantom Merle Bordoodles! Of course there will also be a possibility of Bi-colour and Solid black and chocolate bordoodles.

Absolutely! Our two bordoodle breeding females have undergone full genetic health testing to ensure that they are 100% clear of any genetic defects - this is of paramount importance to our bordoodle breeding program. Our parent dogs health results are available to view, just ask us. We are also lucky enough to own our poodle stud Jimmy we treat him with the same level of commitment when it comes to the health and well being of our program. We aim to match dogs that exhibit the personality traits that will only improve the breed - that is to produce well adjusted, happy and smart bordoodle pups.
